Notater - Agnes Victoria Wigdahl, 96, of Rothsay, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.She was born April 28, 1917, in Meadows Township of Wilkin County, Minnesota, the daughter of Reinhart and Anna (Olson) Carlsrud. She grew up on the farm, attending country school. She was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and confirmed at Hamar Lutheran Church, both in Rothsay. As a young woman she was hired out to neighbors as a housekeeper.On October 2, 1939 she married Orwin W. Wigdahl at the Hamar Lutheran Church. The couple began farming, retiring after 40 years in 1979. Orwin died February 8, 1996.Agnes was a member of New Life Lutheran Church in Rothsay, where she partic- ipated in the Circle groups.She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, gardening, making doughnuts and bars, playing cards at Partners in Rothsay, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always called her "Grandma Cookie."Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; sisters Thora Norman, Mabel Rasmussen, and Evelyn Kluck; brothers Ole, Robert, Gilbert, Eddie, Rudolph, Oscar, Kenneth and Ernest; and a great-grandson, Thomas Rowlette.Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Dale) Rogholt of Rice; two sons: Jerome (Jean) Wigdahl of Glenwood, and Jerry Wigdahl of Rothsay; 11 grandchildren: John, Jana, Sara, Stacy, Shana, Gabriel, Christopher, Jeffrey, Phillip, Kathy and Michelle; 11 great-grandchildren: Cali, Mason, Bode, Isabelle, Mia, Miley, Summer, Owen, Claire, Lillian and Kellen; and a brother, Floyd Carlsrud of Arizona.
Interment: Hamar Cemetery, Rural Rothsay, Minnesota.
