    • Evelyn Kluck, 86, Rothsay, MN

      Evelyn (Carlsrud) Kluck, 86, of Rothsay, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Meritcare Palliative Care in Fargo.

      She was born Sept. 20, 1922, in rural Rothsay, the daughter of Reinhard and Anna (Olson) Carlsrud.

      On June 30, 1945, she married Wallace Kluck. The couple farmed in Meadows Township near Rothsay while raising their eight children. In 1977 they retired and moved to Rothsay.

      Wallace died in 1990. Evelyn entered Elim Nursing Home in Fargo in October of 2008.

      She was active at New Life (Hamar) Lutheran Church in Rothsay. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, and was always ready to have her grandchildren spend the night. She also enjoyed going out for morning coffee with her friends.

      Preceding her in death were her husband, Wallace; two daughters, Joyce Rogers and Sheila Siken; a granddaughter, Nicole Rogers; two sisters, Mabel Rasmussen and Thora Norman; and seven brothers, Ole, Gilbert, Eddie, Robert, Rudy, Oscar and Kenneth.

      Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church
      Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, at New Life Lutheran Parish-Hamar, Rothsay
      Clergy: Rev. Paul Huso
      Burial: Hamar Cemetery, Rothsay
      Funeral Home: Grina Funeral Home, Rothsay
